Feeding your cats unintentionally with your food can cause vomiting, diarrhea, illness and death. It may also lead to bad behaviors like begging, an unhealthy weight, and little room for their own nutrient-rich foods. So you only need to give your green cats green food. In order for them to be safe from any possible harm. There are actually harmful foods identified that you should not give them.

Here’s a list of some dangerous foods for your pet cats and the reasons they should be avoided:

1.) Onions & garlic – contain a substance that destroys red blood cells in cats. They can also cause  anemia.

2.) Mushrooms – contain toxins that may affect multiple systems in the body. They can cause shock and your pets may die.

3.) Grapes and raisins – can damage your pet’s kidneys.

4.) Sugary foods – can lead to obesity, dental problems, and possibly diabetes mellitus.

5.) Chocolate, coffee, and tea – these contain caffeine, theobromine, or theophylline. They can be toxic and affect the heart and nervous system.

6.) Salt – this may lead to electrolyte imbalances and kidney problems.

7.) Milk and other dairy products – can cause cramps, gassiness, and diarrhea.

8.) Tuna for human consumption – can cause malnutrition. For the reason, it lacks proper amounts of vitamins and minerals. If your cats eat too much of it, they could develop heart problems.

9.) Avocados – can cause stomach upset, vomiting, and pancreatitis.

10.) Alcohol – this may cause intoxication, coma, and death.

11.) Tomatoes and green/raw potatoes – they contain a bitter, poisonous alkaloid. This can cause violent lower gastrointestinal symptoms. The nervous and urinary systems may also be affected.

This is just a short list, which only has the top eleven harmful foods for your green pet cat. So it’s still best not to give foods to your cats other than their own. You may not know the harm that goes with it.
